Planning application by Wayford Marine for the Formation of x16 all new stern-on moorings and access improvements 

A Planning application by Wayford Marine for the Formation of x16 all new stern-on moorings and access improvements was lodged with the Broads Authority (reference BA/2025/0047/FUL).

It transpired that the proposed location for the x16 new moorings was previously a reed bed which had been filled. Evidence of the existence of the reed bed was provided by reports authored by experts both commissioned and entered into public record by Wayford Marine. The reed bed was required by a previous planning permission (BA/2017/0268/FUL) and should have been maintained.

As a result of the above, in addition to other irregularities, an objection to the planning application was lodged with the Broads Authority on 19 March 2025 by Alice Brown. This objection also brings to light the non-compliance with planning application BA/2017/0268/FUL.
